Kraft Hockeyville’s 20th Anniversary Celebration to Help Communities

Kraft Heinz, along with the NHL and NHLPA, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Kraft Hockeyville and is inviting Canadians to nominate their communities. Communities that are chosen could host an NHL game and win up to $250,000. To enter, Canadians can visit KraftHockeyville.ca and answer just three questions before March 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Over the past 20 years, Kraft Hockeyville has shown that hockey is more than a sport, as it brings communities together, with local arenas acting as important gathering places. Since 2006, the program has awarded $5.4 million to support 105 communities, and this year Kraft Hockeyville is honouring its 20-year legacy with its biggest program yet, almost three times larger than in past years, so more communities across Canada can get help to improve their local arenas.

For the first time, the contest will also recognize one winner from each of Canada’s 13 provinces and territories. Eleven of these communities will each get $50,000 to improve their rinks, while the top two finalists will move on to compete for bigger prizes. The runner-up will receive $100,000 for rink upgrades, and the winning town will get $250,000 and the chance to host an NHL preseason game. In addition, NHLPA Goals & Dreams will donate $50,000 in new hockey equipment to help more Canadian kids play the sport they love.

Nominations for Kraft Hockeyville close on March 1, 2026, after which the judging will take place. The winners will be announced on March 14, 2026, and the overall Kraft Hockeyville 2026 champion will be revealed on April 4, 2026.
