Thanks to the generous $50,000 donation from the Kjenner family and the fantastic fundraising efforts of the Fort Saskatchewan community, the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital Foundation (FSCHF) has recently met its fundraising goal.
George and Irene Kjenner, along with Randy and Karen Kjenner, each donated $25,000, for a total of $50,000. Along with money raised through the foundation’s annual golf tournament, these donations helped the foundation reach its $80,000 fundraising goal. The foundation said it is grateful to have such generous supporters helping strengthen health care in the Fort Saskatchewan community.
The Kjenner family’s generosity will help the foundation purchase the equipment required for the year, including a Panda Warmer and fetal heart monitor for the Labour & Delivery Unit at the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital.
The new equipment at the community hospital will help health-care workers provide better care for local families and give newborn and young patients the best possible start. The foundation shared that the donations are a wonderful example of how kindness and community support can make a lasting difference for patients and families who depend on local health care.
