The Women’s Art Society of Montreal (WASM) is celebrating its 131st anniversary with an art show and a focus on mental health for children. The money raised through the exhibition will help support mental health programs for children through the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
WASM has come up with a great way to celebrate art throughout May while helping an important cause. The 131st anniversary exhibition is being showcased at the historic Montreal Arts Council, located at 1210 Sherbrooke E., Montreal, and features artwork from 63 artists. These talented artists have covered a wide range of styles and mediums, ranging from oils, acrylics, encaustic, watercolour, inks, photography, and more. The artists were available to meet the visitors at the exhibition on May 8th.
Founded in 1894, the Women’s Art Society of Montreal (WASM) is one of Montreal’s oldest art groups. For over 130 years, WASM has supported new and growing artists while also raising awareness about mental health in children.
The Women’s Art Society of Montreal (WASM) supports artists and uses art to help people improve mental health and well-being. The money raised from this year’s art show will be used to support mental health programs for children at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. WASM believes art can be healing, and they hope their event will help make a positive difference, especially for kids.
