Hyundai partners contribute $125,000 dollars to support pediatric cancer care

Hyundai Hope on Wheels and Winnipeg Hyundai have come together to support children facing cancer through a donation of 125,000 dollars. The contribution is directed toward pediatric oncology care at HSC Children’s Hospital and reflects a shared dedication to helping young patients and their families during an especially difficult period.

HSC Children’s Hospital plays an important role in advancing pediatric oncology by supporting research, care, and innovation. Each year, about 50 children in Manitoba are diagnosed with cancer, which is the leading disease related cause of death among children. To help address this reality, the Foundation supports initiatives such as Pediatric Research in Oncology in Manitoba: Innovation, Science, Excellence, known as PROMISE. Led by experts from the Children’s Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba and CancerCare Manitoba, this research effort brings together multiple specialties with the goal of improving the lives of young patients.

Hyundai Hope on Wheels is focused on improving care for children with cancer, and Winnipeg Hyundai added its local support to broaden the impact within the community. By combining efforts, the partners aim to strengthen programs that assist children undergoing treatment and offer families some added reassurance during their care journey.

The funding helps enhance resources that provide comfort, guidance, and access to needed services for young patients. It also demonstrates how meaningful progress can be made when national initiatives and local businesses work toward the same goal.

This donation highlights the importance of community involvement and the positive results that can come from working together. Winnipeg Hyundai is proud to be part of this contribution and to support care that holds significant value for children receiving treatment and the families who stand beside them.
