Nearly 13,000 members of Team BMO, friends, families, and community members participated in walks throughout May and raised $2.4 million to support mental health services in North America.
In Canada, BMO partnered with Kids Help Phone, and 16 communities across Canada participated in walks such as the BMO Walk so Kids Can Talk. BMO partnered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in the United States of America to organize similar walks in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City. The North American BMO Walks for Good campaign raised over $2.4 million to help these organizations continue to offer inclusive and fair e-mental health services across North America.
BMO has been a proud partner of Kids Help Phone (KHP) since it started in 1989, supporting its mission to improve youth mental health in Canada. BMO has donated over $21.4 million CAD to help KHP’s Feel Out Loud Campaign, launched in 2018. Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only free, 24/7, private, and multilingual mental health support service for young people. For 36 years, KHP has been a safe place for youth to talk about any feeling or problem. In the U.S., BMO has raised over $320,000 USD in partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness through local NAMIWalk events.
BMO Walks for Good is part of BMO’s larger commitment to support mental health and well-being in North American communities.
