“100 Women Who Care Montreal” Raises Over $200k For Local Charities

100 Women Who Care has raised thousands of dollars for local charities, and the group of women continues to grow.

Since its launch four years ago, the organization has raised over $200,000 in support of various local charities. The group of women meets three times a year and hosts a one-hour event to raise funds for a local charity. Members nominate the charities, and the leadership team vets them with a focus on innovative organizations making a real impact in the Greater Montreal area.

Each member contributes $100 per event ($300 annually), while members under 30 donate $50 per event ($150 annually). The Montreal chapter is part of a global network of 100 Women Who Care groups, with over 60,000 women involved worldwide since the movement began in 2006. The local chapter now includes about 200 members, each committing to donate and attend three events per year.

Their most recent event, held in February at the Atwater Club called “Helping People with Disabilities Shine” raised over $19,000.
