CBC is thanking Canadians across the provinces for supporting its initiative “Make the Season Kind.” With everyone’s support, the food truck event and fundraiser raised over $8 million to help fight food insecurity across Canada.

CBC stated that it is immensely grateful to its staff, volunteers, chefs, the Canadian stars who gave their time to support the campaign, and the many generous Canadians who stepped up to help.

CBC’s Make the Season Kind is a national holiday campaign that supports local food banks across Canada. In 2025, CBC hosted food trucks at five holiday markets in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Kitchener, and Halifax, where well-known Canadian chefs served warm, comforting meals in exchange for donations.

Every dollar raised goes directly to local food banks, helping families, children, and newcomers who are struggling with food insecurity. Since 2012, CBC teams have worked with communities across Canada to raise more than $71 million for local food banks and charitable organizations through their annual holiday drives.
