Nine-year-old Brody Fehr from Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, recently set up a lemonade stand at Point West Electrical Mechanical Services to raise money for local shelter animals.

Brody Fehr set up a small drink-and-treat stand inside Point West Electrical to raise money for the Portage Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). His mother helped buy supplies and bake cupcakes, while his stand sold cupcakes, lemonade, pink lemonade, cherry limeade, and grape dirty sodas, attracting community members looking for a refreshing treat while supporting a good cause.

Brody loves animals, and his family recently adopted their English bulldog, Nelly, from a rescue organization. His fundraiser raised hundreds of dollars and showed how a simple idea can bring people together to help animals in need.

Fehr’s refreshment stand raised $361 directly from sales, while Point West Electrical pledged an additional $1,000 donation to PAWS alongside Fehr’s earnings. This was Fehr’s first time organizing a fundraiser, and it became a true family and community effort.

Brody hopes his fundraiser will encourage others to foster and adopt animals in need. PAWS also welcomes donations of pet food, treats, kitty litter, kennels, pee pads, and cleaning supplies to help care for animals at the shelter.
