3 Decades of Hockey Helping the Homeless

For three decades, Hockey Helps The Homeless (HHTH) has helped raise funds and awareness for homelessness in Canada through pro-am hockey tournaments and corporate fundraisers.

HHTH is a not-for-profit hockey charity with over 20,000 donors, 3,000 players, and 1,000 volunteers who participate annually, playing with purpose. HHTH hosts tournaments locally across Canada and donates one hundred percent of the money raised to support organizations dedicated to ending homelessness in their communities. The organization supports over sixty local homeless support agencies across Canada. Since 1996, HHTH has granted over $33 million to help people experiencing homelessness.

HHTH is organizing 22 local tournaments across Canada and aims to raise $6,000,000 during its 2025-2026 season. By January 13, the organization had already raised $3,780,000. In a recent event in Barrie, NHL alumni Mike Gartner, Greg Johnston, Gary Roberts, and Adam Graves participated in the Hockey Helps the Homeless fundraising tournament.

Hockey Helps the Homeless is a nationally registered charity that hosts one-day adult tournaments across 22 cities in Canada, inviting participants of all genders to play alongside hockey greats while raising funds to combat homelessness.
