Nova Scotians recently witnessed a new wellness challenge involving Yarmouth and Pictou counties, along with the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. The initiative was led by IGNITE Atlantic, Wellnify.ai, and provincial partners to help people achieve their health and wellness goals.

The community health and wellness challenge helped people develop healthy and active habits during the challenge and hopes that participants will stick with it long after the challenge ends. The wellness challenge pitted the communities against each other in a friendly competition that kicked off on June 17 and ran till June 30.

For 14 days, people took part in various wellness activities, connected with others, and enjoyed some friendly competition. Participants were able to track their activities, support their community, and even win prizes. More information can be found on IGNITE Atlantic’s Facebook page.

The event aimed at fostering a culture that values health, encourages positive change, and brings people together through shared goals and friendly competition, creating healthier, more connected communities. The organizers intend to create many more wellness challenges across Nova Scotia in the future.
