New HART Hub expands mental health and addictions care in Smiths Falls

The Ontario government is increasing access to mental health and addictions support with a new Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment Hub in Smiths Falls. This Hub is part of the province’s nearly $550,000,000 plan to open 28 sites across Ontario, aiming to improve services for people experiencing housing instability, mental health needs and substance use challenges.

The province says the goal is to build a stronger and more connected system of care that supports long term recovery. The new Hub will help people in Lanark County and nearby communities receive timely treatment while also supporting community safety.

HART Hubs link individuals to a wide range of services, including primary care, mental health supports, addictions treatment, social services and employment assistance.

Operated in partnership with Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health, the Hub will have two locations. The Smiths Falls site will begin offering services in December, while the Brockville location is expected to open in spring 2026. Both sites bring together clinical and community partners to make sure people can access the right supports when needed.

Services provided through the Hub will reflect local needs and may include counselling, peer support, primary care, withdrawal management, addictions treatment beds, supportive housing, and social services.

This expansion supports the province’s Your Health plan and builds on the Roadmap to Wellness by connecting people to integrated care close to home.
