The CancerCare Foundation of Manitoba is inviting everyone to join its Lemonade Stands for Hope campaign this summer to raise funds for cancer patients.
The biggest weekend for the campaign will be July 18-20, inviting families and friends to host their own lemonade stand and raise money for the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. Whether someone gives a loonie or a $20 bill for the lemonade, every little bit will help support cancer care in the province.
Last year, 270 lemonade stands across Manitoba raised over $150,000 for the CancerCare Foundation of Manitoba, and the goal for this summer is to have 300 stands. People of all ages are invited to set up lemonade stands in their communities to help raise money for cancer research and programs in Manitoba. Some stands have already started, and the fun will go on all summer until the September long weekend.
Manitobans can register their stand with a date and time of their choosing. For more information, call 204-784-2777 or email special.events@cancercare.mb.ca to speak to the Lemonade Stands for Hope team. Each stand holder under the age of 18 will be recognized under Heroes of Hope and will receive a special certificate to recognize their efforts.
