The second annual Hazlet Showcase was attended by around 165 residents and friends in Hazlet, Saskatchewan, raising an impressive $100,000 for four local non-profits.
The community of Southwest residents, families, friends, and more participated in the second annual fundraiser. This money raised at this year’s fundraiser will support the four local non-profits: Hazlet Economic Development Centre, Hazlet Rink, Hazlet Regional Park, and Hazlet Hall.
The fundraiser included a silent auction, a live auction, a steak dinner, and games for participants. The event raised money through the auction, sale of tickets priced at $60 per person, and local sponsorships.
The Hazlet Community Fundraiser 2025 was a big success, and the community aims to repeat it every year. According to the economic development centre officer, Lindsay Alliban, the event helps support local services and recreational facilities. Last year, the inaugural Hazlet Showcase raised close to $80,000. The money raised during last year’s fundraiser helped offer facility improvements and new developments at Hazlet Regional Park.
Organizers expressed gratitude for the generous donations from individuals and businesses across the region.
