Alberta Blue Cross has launched its Community Wellbeing Grant Program for 2025, which will provide 50 awards of $1,000 each to community organizations promoting the physical, mental, and social well-being of Albertans.
The Community Wellbeing Grant program was launched in 2023 on the eve of the 75th anniversary of Alberta Blue Cross. In 2024, the program received more than 650 applications from across the province, from which 50 community organizations were awarded with a $1,000 grant each to support wellbeing in their communities. The program is funded by the Alberta Blue Cross Community Foundation. The final recipients will be notified in June.
As a not-for-profit organization, Alberta Blue Cross is the largest benefits provider in Alberta and one of the largest in Western Canada, serving more than 1.8 million Albertans.
Alberta Blue Cross is open to applications and nominations until April 30 from urban and rural Alberta-based organizations that promote the physical, mental, or social well-being of community members. Alberta-based organizations such as registered charities, municipalities, non-profit organizations, and businesses with a registered business number can apply for the grant program.
