A&W’s delicious Teen Burger is helping change lives and fund Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research and support programs that directly impact Canadians living with the condition. A&W recently held its 16th annual Burgers to Beat MS Day on August 22, where $2 raised from every A&W Teen Burger sold across Canada will be donated to help Canadians affected by MS.
MS is a neurological disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, leading to symptoms like muscle weakness, vision changes, numbness, and memory issues. Canada has one of the highest rates of MS, with over 90,000 people living with the condition and 12 new diagnoses each day, making it the most common neurological disease among young Canadian adults.
For the past 16 years, A&W has been committed to supporting Canadians with MS. Since 2008, A&W has partnered with MS Canada, and this August marked the 16th anniversary of Burgers to Beat MS. On August 22, $2 from every Teen Burger® sold went directly towards supporting Canadians living with MS.
So far, A&W has raised over $20 million for MS Canada through Burgers to Beat MS. These funds are essential for supporting MS programs, funding research, and moving us closer to a world without MS.
With the support of MS Canada, A&W is helping people with Multiple Sclerosis connect with others, access a valuable support system, and better understand the disease through cutting-edge research and improved treatment and care. A&W and MS Canada are also working together to help patients share their stories with schools, businesses, and government representatives to raise awareness and combat the stigma and misinformation surrounding the disease.
