CPKC is teaming up with Homes For Heroes and Veterans Community Project for CPKC’s annual Spin for a Veteran fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026.

CPKC’s annual Spin for a Veteran event will include a team of cyclists who will pedal for 12 continuous hours to raise over $600,000 for veterans experiencing homelessness in Canada and the U.S.

CPKC is encouraging people to support veterans through its special fundraising campaign. The funds raised through the initiative will help Homes For Heroes and Veterans Community Project, which provide housing, support, and other resources to veterans as they adjust to civilian life after military service. CPKC will match all donations made before Oct. 3, offering to double the impact of the donations and help veterans who may be facing challenges after their service.

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC), formerly known as Canadian Pacific Railway until 2023, is a major railway company headquartered in Calgary. The company operates railways across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Through its railway operations, CPKC manages about 32,000 kilometres of track, connecting communities, businesses, and industries across North America. According to an estimate from Homes For Heroes, up to 10,000 Canadian veterans are experiencing homelessness, while Veterans Community Project estimates that more than 30,000 U.S. veterans are living on the streets.
