Purolator’s Tackle Hunger Campaign Addresses Food Insecurity

Purolator has launched its fourth annual Purolator Tackle Hunger National Red Bag Campaign to support local food banks from Aug. 20 to Oct. 26 across many Canadian communities.

The campaign runs from September to October and will involve volunteers distributing more than 66,000 reusable Red Bags in 21 communities across Canada and the United States, including Barrie and Springwater. People can fill the bags with non-perishable food donations, which Purolator volunteers will later collect and deliver to local food banks. The campaign brings together Purolator employees, customers, and community members to help support families and individuals facing food insecurity.

Canadians can help support the campaign by filling the Red Bag with non-perishable food donations and placing it on their doorsteps before the pick-up time indicated on the bag insert. This year, Purolator has added a virtual Red Bag, making it easier for everyone to participate in the campaign.

Purolator expanded this campaign into a national initiative in 2023, and since then the National Red Bag Campaign has helped provide over 515,000 meals to people in need. Since 2003, Purolator Tackle Hunger® has delivered over 27 million meals to food banks across Canada, directly impacting the lives of individuals and families in need. It started in Ottawa on Aug. 20, 2026, and will conclude in Laval, Quebec, on Oct. 26, 2026. You can learn more about Purolator Tackle Hunger by visiting purolatortacklehunger.com.
