Saskatchewan Blue Cross to Donate $80,000 for Community Development

Saskatchewan Blue Cross is celebrating its 80th year of care with a one-time community giving program, including an $80,000 donation to support community organizations making a meaningful difference across the province.

The 80 Years, 80 Grants initiative by Saskatchewan Blue Cross will award 80 grants of $1,000 to eligible community organizations across Saskatchewan, investing a total of $80,000 back into the province.

To apply, organizations need to describe their community development initiative, program, or activity they are seeking funding for and briefly explain how the grant will be used to support the community. The organization’s goals should align with Saskatchewan Blue Cross’ values and fit within one of the three community investment focus areas, namely, health literacy, community health & wellbeing, and diversity & inclusion.

Community organizations can apply for the grants until April 30, 2026, through an online application form. To be selected for the grant, the project should also offer ways for employees to get involved and connect with the organization’s services and include a plan to measure its success. Those who qualify to receive the grant will be announced throughout 2026, starting with Saskatchewan Blue Cross’s 80th birthday celebration in the week of May 25, 2026.
