RBC Invests $2.4M to Expand Skills Development Opportunities for Canadians

RBC and eCampusOntario have partnered to help provide free job skills training to individuals across Canada, backed by a $2.4 million investment from RBC.

The partnership between RBC and eCampusOntario aims to ensure that Canadians gain the skills they need for today’s changing job market. The $2.4 million investment from RBC will help expand the Skills for Jobs Canada platform, offering more free training and upskilling courses to people across the country. The bilingual online platform already provides thousands of job-focused courses and has attracted more than 85,000 users since launching in September 2025.

The partnership aims to help Canadians build new skills, explore career opportunities, and adapt to changes in the workforce at no cost. The platform connects people with training programs from colleges, universities, Indigenous institutes, and other education providers across the country. The initiative also offers free online courses such as McGill University’s Personal Finance Essentials, Western University’s The Founder’s Journey, and the University of Guelph’s Foundations in Agricultural Management.

This initiative is part of RBC, the RBC Foundation, and RBC Foundation USA’s overall commitment to providing $2 billion in community investment by 2035. eCampusOntario is a non-profit organization that aims to strengthen Ontario’s post-secondary education system by increasing access to online learning.
