Moose Jaw Community Raises $20,000 on Tim Hortons Camp Day

The Moose Jaw community came together to support Tim Hortons Camp Day on July 15, raising more than $20,000 locally to help young people attend Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

Moose Jaw Tim Hortons franchise owner Aurora Howe was proud of her staff for raising the impressive amount and making this year’s fundraiser a success. Tim Hortons Camp Day donates 100 per cent of proceeds from every hot and iced coffee sold to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. Customers also supported the fundraiser by purchasing Camp Day bracelets and donation badges.

Guests participated in new fundraising ideas, including a prize wheel where customers could donate for a chance to win prizes. Volunteers from the Moose Jaw Police Service, Moose Jaw Fire Department, 15 Wing, local elected officials, and players from the Moose Jaw Warriors and Moose Jaw Miller Express worked together to wash vehicle windows and raise money at the city’s Tim Hortons locations. While the staff put in a strong effort this year, it was the strong support from the community that helped make this year’s Tim Hortons Camp Day a big success in Moose Jaw.

The money raised during Tim Hortons Camp Day will support local children from Moose Jaw attending Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, where they build confidence, leadership skills, and lasting friendships. The positive impact on local youth makes the fundraiser even more meaningful. Tim Hortons Camp Day raised $12.7 million across Canada and the United States to help send youth from underserved communities to camp.
