Tea lovers in Campbell River, led by Stonehouse Teas, have been pitching in to help raise money for the Campbell River Community Foundation. The Campbell River Community Foundation helps non-profits and charities.
Last month, Stonehouse Teas held its second annual CommuniTEA Party, which was attended by 74 individuals, and it helped raise nearly $6,500 for the Campbell River Community Foundation.
The second annual Stonehouse Spring CommuniTEA Party allowed guests to experience handmade treats and specialty teas. Local businesses also supported the event by donating auction items, helping raise even more money for community grants and local programs. Stonehouse Teas is an award-winning purveyor of quality teas, coffees, gifts, and accessories.
In 2023, Stonehouse Teas founder Christine Lilyholm started donating $1 from every bag of Chocolate EndowMINT tea to the foundation. So far, the community fundraising effort has contributed more than $13,000 to the foundation. The event highlights how small acts of generosity can grow into something meaningful for the whole community.
In 2026 alone, the foundation provided more than $80,000 to 12 local organizations, supporting important initiatives in food security, the environment, youth, and seniors services.
