Walmart Canada Raises $6.5 Million to Support Children’s Hospitals

Walmart’s annual spring fundraising campaign raised an incredible $6.5 million to support children’s hospitals and make a real difference in the lives of young patients and their families.

Walmart Canada partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network as their associates and customers came together to raise an incredible $6.5 million to make a difference for children and families in their communities. The campaign running from May 8 to June 1 was kick-started by Walmart Canada with a $1 million donation.

The money raised through the campaign will help children and families in need of special medical care. Every dollar raised will be donated to the nearest children’s hospital foundation to support important research, life-saving equipment, and family programs. Walmart Canada and its customers have raised over $230 million to help children’s hospitals care for kids across the country for the past 30 years.

This year’s spring campaign featured inspiring patient stories that highlighted the real-life impact of donor support. One such story is that of Jack, who is receiving the best possible care at Manitoba’s only children’s hospital, thanks to donor-supported surgical equipment, research, and ongoing care.
