Ron and Jas Sangara from Delta, B.C., recently donated $100,000 to support the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation’s newly launched Caring for Our Community Grant Program.

The donation was made in loving memory of Krishna Skye Sangara, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. She is remembered for her bright spirit, deep love for her two children, and unwavering loyalty. The Sangara family said they are honoured to support the Foundation’s community grant program, particularly its focus on mental health, as a way to continue Krishna’s legacy of helping others.

The Caring for Our Community Grant Program gives Delta nonprofit organizations the opportunity to apply for grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, with the option of requesting multi-year funding for up to three years. For the 2025–26 cycle, the program will prioritize groups that improve the mental health and well-being of both youth and adults in Delta.

Shari Barr of the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation expressed gratitude for the Sangara family’s generosity, noting that their gift has not only launched the program but will have a lasting impact on the community. More information on the grant program and its application guidelines can be found at Delta Hospital + Community Health Foundation’s website.
