Walk for Life on June 1st, 2024

Every year, Advokate Life & Education Services Society organizes the Walk for Life, an annual, free, family-friendly event and peer-to-peer fundraiser to support vulnerable women and children in low-income families. Participants can invite their friends and family to sponsor their walk/run for a distance of 4 or 8 kilometers. This year, the event is being held in Prince George and the Fraser Valley, British Columbia. Prince George is organizing a virtual Walk for Life where anyone can register as a walker and then walk or run wherever they are. All walkers who fundraise are eligible for top prizes.

The in-person event will take place at Mill Lake Park in Abbotsford, British Columbia starting at 12:30 pm. Participants can register to raise funds as a team or individually by creating a fundraising page online to make donating easier for friends and family.

All walkers/runners to complete the walk/run together will be able to enjoy food, fun, and games on the day of the event, June 1st. Family and friends are welcome to come out and be a part of the festivities.

All funds raised through the Walk for Life event will go towards supporting the vulnerable women, children, and low-income families served by Advokate Life & Education Services Society, which is a registered charity in British Columbia. The charity helps vulnerable women and families facing unplanned pregnancies by providing women-centered, hope-focused, and empowerment-oriented support through free and confidential services, including counseling, pregnancy tests, recreational ultrasounds, maternity and baby supplies, postpartum support, post-abortion care, and community education.
