Car dealers recognize the importance of giving back to the community year-round, but this commitment takes on even greater meaning during the holiday season. Canadian auto dealer, a media organization, has created a list of several dealers and their initiatives to spread goodwill in the December holiday season.

Audi’s staff volunteered with charities. For the third consecutive year, Audi Winnipeg Dealer Principal Robyn Okaja and her team participated in the 12 Days of Giving Back, inspired by the “12 Days of Christmas” song. The initiative involved volunteering with organizations like Ronald McDonald House Charities Winnipeg, Meals on Wheels Winnipeg, and Canadian Blood Services.

Subaru partnered with Ronald McDonald House of South Central Ontario and loaned a new Forester to support families with critically ill children at St. Catharines General Hospital. They also donated to Niagara Area Children’s Assistance, a Fort Erie non-profit helping families facing financial or health challenges.

Northwest Automotive Group in Alberta introduced two new Christmas initiatives at its Edmonton Volkswagen dealerships to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital and Kids With Cancer Society. One of the initiatives, called the Teddy Bear Tree, was decorated with Stollery Bears and sold for $20 each, while another was a jigsaw puzzle that sold for $35. The company donated an additional $10,000 to the Kids With Cancer Society when it lost a key sponsor it relied on to make Christmas special for families of kids receiving cancer treatment.

Wyant Group, with dealerships in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and B.C., ensured their dealerships give back in a big way during December. In Saskatoon, the Wyant Group partnered with the Salvation Army for a toy drive, with employees volunteering to collect toys for boys and girls. Families in need received gift cards for groceries to provide a Christmas meal and could select two toys for each child.

Comox Valley Dodge in B.C. prioritized giving back to the community through initiatives like a Christmas food hamper program and a toy drive.
