Nathan Pearce, a 15-year-old student from North Vancouver, is all set to represent Canada at the Youth Sailing World Championship in Italy. Nathan was a competitor at the 2023 Youth Sailing World Championships in Brazil last December and is now rejoining his Canadian teammates to compete on the international stage.

Nathan will once again unite with Sail Canada and join forces with a team of 12 other skilled competitors for the highly anticipated Youth Sailing World Championships.

Pearce, an Argyle Secondary student, is working hard to make waves in the kiteboarding event. This is Pearce’s third time competing for Canada at the world competition, and he has previous experience under his belt including a 16th-place finish at the 2023 Youth Sailing World Championships in Brazil, and a third place in the open male division at the US Open Sailing Series in San Francisco last August.

Coming from the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, Pearce aims to kiteboard for Team Canada at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
