A Vietnamese Canadian business group has raised and donated $10,000 to support the new Richmond Hospital. The money was collected during the Vietnamese Canadian Business Association’s (VCBA) summer Open Golf Tournament and presented to the Richmond Hospital Foundation.
The funds will go towards the Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Power Up Campaign, which is raising money to build and improve the hospital for the community. Ken Chau, president of the Vietnamese Canadian Business Association, said the Yurkovich Family Pavilion is an important project for improving health care in Richmond. He explained that the new acute care tower will bring modern technology and better facilities to help patients and support medical staff.
Founded in 2022, the Vietnamese Canadian Business Association (VCBA) is a non-profit group that helps connect business communities in Vietnam and Canada. At its recent charity golf tournament and gala dinner, the association brought together local and international businesses to raise money for health care in Richmond.
Natalie Meixner, president and CEO of the Richmond Hospital Foundation, expressed gratitude for having VCBA as a partner, noting that their community spirit and generosity will help support innovation and ensure that everyone in Richmond receives the best possible care.
